I transmited to you last Week by Mr
Meriwither of Annapolis Bills of Exchange
amounting to £1092,,12..4
sterling And since he went from this Place Colonel Byrd's
Trustees have paide £465..10s Current
Money of Virginia on your Account which I
negotiated at £22..10 per Cent difference
of Exchange with A Donald getting
his Draft for £380 sterling which I inclose
herein & deliver to Peyton Randolph Esquire
who will pass thro' your Town shortly
to act in conjunction with some Commissioners
to Establish a Boundary Line between
the Governments of Jersey & New York.
His Excellency Colonel Tryon Governor of North Carolina
& his Lady are here on a Visit to Lord
Botetourt Colonel & Mrs Tryon ride
daily, & say that the Weather is very
temperate when our Thermometers
have never been lower than 80 degrees
& up to 88 since their arrival here
