Also a recipe for a possible animal ear problem: “Take about three pints of blood from the tail or inside of the thigh, take a pint of Brandy, _ a pint of vinegar, a spoonful of salt, as much antimoney as will lye on the pint of a case knife. Drench him with this— Put a spoonful of Brandy in each ear, stop it in with cotton, tye a string round his ear to prevent him from shaking it out … they tell me there should be as much brimstone as antimoney and as much blustone as will contane to the bignes of a pee.”
