For dying Blue

Take three bushels of Pursley, one pound of Logwood one oz of Blue Stone
& four ounces of Alum to six lbs of Wool, Boil the Pursley until done
Splinter the Logwood andboil it in another Pot, then strain the
Pursley liquer and Logwood together. Scald the wool in Alum water
then put it in the dye and simmer it two hours frequently stir-
ring it, then take the Wool out & put in the blude stone &
as soon as it is dissolved put the wool in again scimmer it
half an hur frequently stirring it.
