Dear Aunt January 5, 1828
As Sam is very much distressed
brother John says that in the course of [illegible]
six months he can advance fifty dollars
and I have thirty six dollars due me here
and will have [illegible] thirty six due next
January which I will advance to stop
his wife, and if it is not in your power
to stop his wife, Mama says he has her con
cent to go with his wife. I remain your
