N. B. The vines are let into the Pit by
holes made in the Brick-work on
purpose and trained upon trelusses

plaistered, the place is Covered with
large lights eight in Number and
the Pit may be divided into 2, 3, or
4 equal parts according to the
pleasure of the owner. We begin to
Force the vines the first of March
either with dung, tan, or Leaves.x

NB. Tan being the most regular and not
wanting renewal so much is reckon'd the
best.
