Know all Men by these Presents that I Richard
Coleman of Petsworth Parish in Gloster County have
bargained & sold, & by these Presents do bargain
& ^ sell to John Page of Rosewell a Negro Man Slave
named Tom for & in Consideration of the Sum of
one hundred Pounds to me in Hand paid the Receipt
^ whereof is hereby acknowledged, & I do also hereby warrant
& defend to the said Page the Title of the said Negro
Slave against the Claim of any Person forever
binding myself my Heirs Executors Administrators &c
thereto. given under my Hand this 9th. Day of August 1783
