Sir.
June 29. 1799
I was informed that you had levied an
Execution on Sam a negroe in the possession of Lewis
Burwell & intended to sell him on the 19th.
to day I learn you are to proceed to sell. By
Mr. Cooke I gave you notice, (as attorney for Fielding
Lewis Trustee for T: Lewis Executor of A. Lewis) that the
Slave Sam was secured to said F Lewis to discharge
a Debt now due from L: Burwell to A Lewis's Estate
I now refer you to that deed of Record in the
clerk's Office of Gloster County. and do as Attorney for
F Lewis and at the instance Major T Lewis Executor
of Addison Lewis, forbid you to sell the slave Sam
and do claim the Property in the said Sam for the
said Trustee,

Sir,
Mr. Mann Page has been desired by me in the
Capacity of my attorney to watch over the property within
mention'd, which is secured to me by deed in trust record
ed in Gloster Court. I have therefore to join my request
to his & forbid the Sale of Sam who is one of the Slaves
mortgaged by Lewis Burwell to me.
