Parkes Slater letter to William S. Ware, 1858 April 30

Parkes Slater letter to William S. Ware dated Williamsburg, April 30, 1858. Slater writes to send Ware a list of the property taxes due from 1854-1857. Slater informs Ware that if the taxes are not paid he will be forced to sell the property to settle the bill.

Mr. Wm S. Ware

Dear Sir: you will
excuse me for not sending you a statement
of the tax bills but I did not write my
self to you or I should have given you
a List of the tax bills. I am very sorry
to have to trouble you with this matter
but I am bound to pay the amount to
the auditor and it would greave me
very much to have the property sold to
pay the taxes   but you know that I
have no alternative. Taxes must be
Paid below I send a statement of
the amount which I hope you will
pay for your sister   yours in haste
