We wrote thee 2d. July last by
the Royal Exchange Captain Woodford, a Copy of which
we transmitted theey 7 July per the New york Packet,
since when have received thy favors, of the 12, 21 June 24,
July 2, 6 & 12 August, the Contents of which we duly
Observe, Inclosed we send Protests of Thomas M
Randolphs Bill on Farell & Jones for £200 Richard
Randolph on the same £340,,7,,6 Conformable
to your desire we wrote Farrell and Jones that we
were willing to tell these Bills remain with them
some time aftr due and when they could
come to a Determination respecting the sale
of them, that they would send them under
Protest to us if no probability of their being paid,
which they have accordingly done the Char
ges of which being 17/ is passed to the Debit

of thy Account as Receiver General, We Also herewith send
Protest for non acceptance of William Goosleys Bill
on Perkins & Co for £930 the Charges of which
being 4/3 is to thy debit as Receiver General The four
Bills Amounting to £216,,17,,3 per Letter of 12 June
are all Accepted as are also the 7 Bills Amo
unting to £1203,,7,,3 per Letter of 25 June this Sum
in thy List is called £1203,,9,,3 owing to an Error
in pulling down Bennet on Ross and Hill
£65,,15,,2 instead of £65,,13,,2 The remittance
in 10 Bills 2d August £973,,11,,5, Bills 6th August
£1496,,15 and 4 Bills 12 August £251,,12,,9 this you
call £251,,11,,9 came safe to hand & such of them
as were drawn on London are accepted save
that for £930 on Perkins & Co the following on
the Out Ports are also Accepted, viz on Harford
Junior £57,,12,,2 on John Backhouse £41,,7,,1 on
Were & Son £67,,10,,9 the remainder of the

Out Port Bills we have not hyet received from our
Correspondents & therefore do not yet know the
fate of them we Observe what thee says respec
] ting the balance of thy private Account it was a
mistake in our Clerk pulling down the sum
in the Letter In our Books the Accompt agrees
with thine except the following ommissions
viz To our Credit 4 June 1772 Cash paid James
Horrocks £50 Paid for a Blank Bond given
to G F Williams Esquire £ 2,,7 Short Creidt in
Lees Bill on Molleson 4d, should be £75,,16,,5
instead of £71,,16,,1 Goods by the Hanbury last
Voyage 19/ Short Credit should be £7,,6,,1
instead of £6,,7,,1 Thy Bill to J Oakley £5,,5,.
Lamars Bill on us in 1772 was £34,,13 not £33,
Differance £1,,13 We give thee Credit 10/10 for
10li Thread Short sent in 1769 when these Errors
are corrected in thy Accompt the Balance
will be £1907,,3,,5 in thy favour conformable

in our Books, We are Obliged to thee for the Con
signment of 26Hogsheads of Tobacco by the Hanbury
Esten who arrived safe in the river 29 Ultimo we have
not yet begun to land the Cargo but have no doubt
but it will be found in Good Condition as he has
had a Good Passage, the Prices of Tobacco at
present are rather low but the may be assur'd
we shall do our best for thy Interest in the sale
[illegible] Our Capel Hanbury is not in town at present must
therefore defer untill another Oppportunity the
answering some parts of thy Letters, Thy Letters
